John Hamaty, D.O, is a Board Certified cardiologist with The Heart Center at Mercy. Dr. Hamaty sees patients at Mercy Personal Physicians Ellicott City and Glen Burnie.

Expertise in Advanced Heart Diagnoses and Conditions

With more than 30 years of practice in both invasive and non-invasive cardiology, Dr. Hamaty diagnoses, treats and manages a wide range of cardiovascular conditions, including:

• Arrhythmias
• Congestive heart failure
• Coronary artery disease
• Hypertension
• Valvular heart disease

He holds special, advanced certifications in Echocardiography, which uses sound waves to create images of the heart, and Nuclear Cardiology, which uses small amounts of radioactive material to visualize blood flow to the heart.

Dr. Hamaty also believes that good nutrition and prevention are key to a healthy heart, and he wants to be a partner in your heart health journey.
