Catherine Novotny, PA-C, is a professionally trained physician assistant with The Shoulder, Elbow, Wrist and Hand Center at Mercy. She works alongside Dr. Gregory Gasbarro, providing assistance in both routine and complex upper extremity surgeries.

Comprehensive Upper Extremity Care

Catherine diagnoses and treats patients suffering from a variety of conditions of the shoulder, elbow, wrist and hands, such as:

• Arthritis
• Joint injury
• Joint or tendon inflammation
• Ligament tears and sprains
• Rotator cuff injuries
• Sprains, fractures or dislocations

She performs various in-office procedures, including casting and splinting, administrating injections, and aspirating cysts and joints. Additionally, Catherine writes and reviews routine orders and prescriptions, and provides consultations services for inpatient and emergency medicine cases.
