Sister Áine O’Connor, RSM, and Stacey Brull, DNP, RN, NE-BC, chief nursing officer and senior vice president of patient care services, appear together as guests of the hospital’s talk show series, Medoscopy, airing on Facebook Watch, Wed.-Thurs., Oct. 29th and 30th at 5:30 p.m. EST (www.facebook.com/MercyMedicalCenter).

A 30-minute, pre-taped program that explores the background and lives of Mercy clinicians, patients and others, Medoscopy was launched in spring 2021 and airs in two 15-minute segments. To view past episodes, visit the Medoscopy playlist on the Mercy Medical Center YouTube channel.

In this latest installment, Sister Áine and Ms. Brull discuss their respective backgrounds, how they came to Mercy, their past and current projects, and the role of the Mercy mission in their careers and lives.

Sister Áine reveals how she grew up in Dublin, Ireland, and came to the United States with plans of becoming a speech pathologist. Her volunteer work with those in need on the streets of Atlanta served as inspiration for her to embrace a religious life. Stacey offers insights into her role developing future nursing leaders, her work with a cutting-edge, virtual-reality teaching program, and innovative approaches to recruiting and retaining top nursing talent for Mercy.

Medoscopy is filmed on the campus of Mercy Medical Center in downtown Baltimore with video, sound and lighting by Zinnia Film.
