Mercy Health Services, the parent organization of Mercy Medical Center, has been recognized by Forbes and Statista as one of America’s Best Employers for Healthcare Professionals for 2025, a distinction that underscores Mercy’s continued commitment to excellence in healthcare, workplace culture and professional development. Mercy is ranked #39 in the nation and achieved the highest ranking of health care institutions in Maryland.
The prestigious award was determined through an independent survey of more than 17,000 U.S. healthcare and social welfare employees working for organizations with at least 1,000 team members nationwide. The survey evaluated employers across several key areas, including atmosphere and development, salary and wage, image, company culture, working conditions and workplace environment.
This recognition celebrates Mercy Health Services’ dedication to fostering an inclusive, innovative, and empowering workplace where healthcare professionals can thrive. It highlights the system’s ongoing investment in its people—ensuring that Mercy’s physicians, nurses, and staff are supported in delivering quality, patient-centered care.

Maine, M.D., President and CEO of Mercy Health Services. “This recognition by Forbes and Statista reflects the professionalism and dedication of our entire team. We are proud to cultivate an environment where every employee feels valued, supported and inspired to provide exceptional care to our patients and community.”
