Mercy Medical Center's ongoing talk show series "Medoscopy," provides a close-up look at the partnership between the 150-year-old downtown hospital and Mercy High School (MHS), the "Women in Medicine" program, with MHS students and Mercy staff discussing their experiences, airing on Facebook Watch, Tuesday and Wednesday, November 25 and 26 at 5:30 p.m.

A 30-minute pre-taped program that explores the background and lives of Mercy clinicians, patients and others, Medoscopy was launched in spring 2022 and airs in two 15-minute segments. To view past episodes, visit the Medoscopy playlist on the Mercy Medical Center YouTube channel.

In this latest installment, Medoscopy explores Mercy High School's "Women in Medicine" 4-year program which provides MHS students the opportunity to observe medical procedures and to meet with healthcare professionals. Students gain knowledge of different medical fields, and gain insights into the qualities and skills needed to achieve success in healthcare careers.

The program is open to qualified 9th graders and continues throughout their enrollment. Considered the only program of its kind in Baltimore, WIM offers students who are considering careers as a physician, nurse, physical therapist or research scientist with an unparaelled, "hands-on" experience.

Guests include "Women in Medicine" participants MHS students Jaclyn O'Neill (Class of 2025) and Precious Njiri (Class of 2026), and Mercy pediatrician Dr. Julie Ellis.

Medoscopy is filmed on the campus of Mercy Medical Center in downtown Baltimore with video, sound, and lighting by Zinnia Film.

Located at 1300 East Northern Parkway in the Idlewood neighborhood of Baltimore, Mercy High School is a private, Catholic, college preparatory school for young women of diverse backgrounds from across central Maryland. Sponsored by the Sisters of Mercy, MHS provides a rigorous education marked by academic excellence and personal attention.
