In the Leadership Role: Mercy’s Dr. David Maine and Sister Helen Amos, RSM, Return as Guests on Medoscopy
June 04, 2025
Dr. David N. Maine, president and CEO of Mercy Health Services, Mercy Medical Center, and Sister Helen Amos, RSM, executive chair of the Mercy Board of Trustees, return as guests for the hospital’s ongoing talk show series, Medoscopy, airing on Facebook Watch, Tues.–Wed., June 24th and 25th at 5:30 p.m. EST (www.facebook.com/MercyMedicalCenter).
This marks the third time Sister Helen and Dr. Maine have appeared on the program, first in January 2023 and again in November 2024 in celebration of Mercy’s 150th anniversary.
A 30-minute, pre-taped program that explores the background and lives of Mercy clinicians, patients and others, Medoscopy was launched in spring 2021 and airs in two 15-minute segments. To view past episodes, visit the Medoscopy playlist on the Mercy Medical Center YouTube channel.
In this latest installment, Dr. Maine and Sister Helen discuss how Mercy staff applies the values of the Sisters of Mercy to their work, the recent passing of Pope Francis, the state of health care access, and what the future holds for the now 150-year-old Catholic hospital.
Dr. Maine offers insights into his first five years as Mercy Health Services president and CEO, and regards lessons learned from the COVID-19 pandemic. Sister Helen touches on Mercy’s place in the downtown Baltimore community.
